In recently viewing a news article that included a reference to Teddy Roosevelt and his thoughts on changing ages, it brought to my mind one of those common questions that we all hear but don't really give it all that much thought. The question was: "What is the greatest problem of our age?"

Oh yes, there are no shortages to the numbers of opinions that result from such a query. Everyone has their own experiences that incline them to them and of course they also have their own life problems to forward their own opinions. If we think about it in terms of a more global perspective, it gets a little more difficult because so much is happening right now. The list could become voluminous!

Partaking the incessant path of trying to identify and then on the ways to solve those greatest problems that exist in our age are usually relegated to the mindful manifest of the "thinkers" who specialize in such things. The rest of the world frequently feigns an attitude of submission because they have come to accept the axiom that "you can't fight city hall." Boy is that one wrong!

Surely there are problems influencing and affecting our current age that seem so mountainous and so far out of anyone's influential reach that there does seem to be little else that anyone can possibly do to correct them so an attitude of submission seems the most practical result.

You name the greatest problem(s) that you believe are the most affective to our age and then believe that others would, could, and in many cases have thought of many of the items that are also on your list. The interesting difference about this current age of ours apart from all others is the degree of practical information that everyone now has at their mind-bending fingertips. Today the populace of the world is more aware of their surroundings, they are more informed about the influential dynamics in their lives, and they have a much better practical command of the complex vocabularies that use to separate those who were otherwise in charge of the rotating of the world from those who had to try and live within the same at the behest of the decisions of those few choice others.

Now, people simply "know" much more and now aren't afraid any longer in letting the world at-large be very aware that they do in fact know.

People now know much, not all mind you, but much of what has been and is currently going on around them! Plainly put, people are no longer ignorant nor forced to blindness to their lives and the result is a new flashpoint of expressiveness! You've seen it and believe you me, others have seen it also. People on the whole no longer accept witty or off-the-cuff explanations when it remains glaringly obvious that there is a lot more going on under the surface of common understanding!

The sage once wrote that "information is power!" So therefore is the capacity of personal understanding actively and manifestly creating an entirely new paradigm of active understanding in the world!

Many have asked why it was that people now seem to be so much more inclined toward self-driven goal creation in virtually any and every way as opposed to an age of the past where people largely took the majority of their living goals and the benefits they had in their lives from some-one and some-thing else that dictated much in their lives for them?

The keyword in answer here is; "KNOWLEDGE".

In the past, an influentially driven "social stigma" that facilitated great commanding fear as a result of greatly interwoven religious or spiritual establishments that walked hand in hand with corporate and political ones, conveniently set definition to the daily conduction of much of life. People just presumed that this was the way that life was and always will be lived, so adherents were just adopted at a glance.

Think of those souls in the world commanding respectable levels of education and where they end up as a result of their levels of working knowledge to all things. These are the souls who alter themselves accordingly to all that they know and understand.

Well, people are now in great masses gaining similar and in some cases more levels of knowledge where in the past only a few retained the same. The result is a changing world like never before and in dynamic expression, informed people now even take to the streets.

Times in this world will never be the same!

People intellectually and practically opened their awareness to the doorway that allowed them to emerge, and more importantly, they no longer frightened where as in ages of the past, fear alone commanded individual submission.

A knowledgeable soul doesn't succumb to fear easily.

All of this however leads us to the core matter at hand, and this is the vast ability of an individual's knowledge into all things to re-create and shift the living function of his and her daily life!

This is how the world has changed, did change, and will yet again change like you wouldn't believe!

"If a fly flutters its wings, does it affect any change in its surroundings?"

Try asking the world itself the same question...
