When you are ready to walk over that bridge that spans over the mucky waters of your life, you will at last find the answers that you have always sought. - WD Allan

Frequently in life we as soulful beings tend to attribute our experiences as some intervention on the part of the universe, some manipulation by a deity, or the responsibility of another party when the truth is that we also had a hand in where, when and how we find ourselves. Oh certainly there are decisions and actions on the part of others that do affect our daily experiences, nobody can deny this fact. We can and are affected by and our path can sometimes be greatly skewed because someone in our sphere just makes a bad decision that sends us reeling for awhile. We simply must learn to navigate our ways out of such situations and endless anger won't help this path at all, even if we want to lash out due to our feelings. It makes the most sense to spend your time looking forward instead of fuming in past days, it will you serve no purpose in the end.

It's really fascinating you know that one of the greatest blockades that people allow to stall them on the whole is the amount of stone fear that they place before those more sound and thoughtful decisions that are eventually permitted to lead their way! Hey, we all have days and times when fear just takes over for a bit, it's in the experience of being who we all are. Think about a time you might have gone through when you were really afraid to move, to merely step forward, or to even think about life! There is some form of this for everyone in their own way.

I can remember thinking about the power of fear and how it has affected my own life at times. The list of situations and moments is rather lengthy as it is for many of you. I'm no different!

What has brought me to the place and to the times I find myself in now however is that I chose to bridge my way over that fear regardless of how scared I was or how rational or irrational it may have been at the time.

Many years ago I remember making the decision to choose a widely lateral career change and to go back to college. At the time of the decision I knew well that it was the right choice for me but little did I know the effect it would have on me when I got there! the first day I stood on the campus ready to hit the classes I can remember being positively scared to death! Being surrounded by a place I didn't know, by new people most of whom were much younger than me and being challenged by a regimen of study that was challenging beyond belief. I recall thinking to myself; "You have to be crazy to think you can do this! This is nuts!" It wasn't of course. It was the best and one of the most sound decisions in my life thus far at the time!

At the time I decided to choose to start my feet forward and to head to the classroom and to do the absolute best I could regardless of how scared I was about it all. I felt the same way about the first examination I would take in that period. I remember when I received the exam paper on my desk. I was shaking like a dry leaf in a strong autumn wind! I had to try controlled breathing to calm myself enough so I could answer the questions! I got through it all though and yes, on that exam I received an A!

The times got easier and the overall experience became a highlight of my life. It led to similar experiences and further achievements that also became highlights of my life. If it wasn't for my decision to bridge my fears however, none of it would have taken place! None of it would have enhanced my life. None of it would have allowed me to be the person who I am now.

Bridging my fears really was the key to it all!

Choose to walk around or over or beyond your fears of being the person you know you want to become!

Decide to place a bridge over those fears that have been stopping you from moving forward!

Make that choice to move forward regardless of how scared you may have been about what lies ahead for you because you know what?

IT'S FANTASTIC!!!

Make it so...

Think about it...

As Always,
